Job Description

For our Internal Audit department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Frankfurt (Solmsstrasse) we are looking for a Senior Audit Manager (m/f) – Job ID 172111.

Major responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple audits pertaining to State Street Bank International GmbH’s (SSBI) activities and State Street’s Global Services business units which would mostly include custody fund administration and depotbank audits in Europe
  • Responsible for ensuring the audit team is evaluating and contributing to management of the organization regarding risk and control and compliance with applicable regulations corporate policies and procedures within SSBI and the Global Services area 
  • Review audit reports to present clear accurate objective concise constructive and timely communication of risks and issues to senior management
  • Manage and oversee multiple teams of audit professionals to ensure work is performed in accordance with COSO Integrated Framework the Corporate Audit Division and IIA standards and  to meet division deadlines; this includes providing ongoing counsel training development and motivation
  • Assess the audit skills needed to evaluate risk and perform the audits review the audit plan and assess resources; identify key projects and develop key relationships with the business; execute the audit plan; develop and possibly change how State Street approaches the audit; be a technical resource to the European and Global Services team

Education Experience and Skills

  • Successfully completed Bachelor and/or Master degree in Accounting Finance and/or Business Administration; a CPA/CIA certification is preferred
  • Many years of internal audit experience and/or related experience including managing complex audit operations and related projects in public accounting or financial services
  • Thorough knowledge of COSO SOC 1 / SSAE16 standards German laws and regulations and EU directives applicable to the assigned area of responsibility
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Excellent analytical communication interpersonal organizational and presentation skills
  • Strong client relationship and employee management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment considering given deadlines
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually mostly in Europe
