For the Global Human Resources department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Frankfurt or Munich we are looking for a Remuneration Officer (m/f) – Job ID R-578301.

The role of a Remuneration Officer is determined by the respective requirements of the German Remuneration Code (‘Institutsvergütungsverordnung’).

Major Responsibilities

  • Independently review and monitor remuneration governance structures and processes and provide advice to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Support the Supervisory Board (SB) of State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) in performing the monitoring and structuring duties relating to all remuneration systems
  • Drive the meeting routine and agenda of the Remuneration Committee and ensure proper preparation of documentation of all related discussion points
  • Produce a report, at least once a year, on the adequacy of the design of the remuneration systems for employees (Remuneration Control Report) and submit this report simultaneously to the members of the Executive Management Board, Remuneration Committee and SB of SSBI
  • Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
  • Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your behaviour
  • Provide appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision making
  • Support the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture within the business

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Minimum graduate level or equivalent qualification
  • Proven track record in Reward within a fast-paced, international, financial services or consultancy organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of EU  and German banking remuneration regulation
  • High expertise in interpreting the German Remuneration Code and German Banking Act
  • Solid understanding of Co-determination and German Corporate and Supervisory Law
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Practical Risk Management experience
  • Experience of senior stakeholder management
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Highly motivated and strong team-player
  • Commercial thinker and strong multi-tasker
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills; ability to work independently
  • Strong focus on relationship management, both internal and external
  • Proactive, expected to put forward ideas/suggestions to improve policies, processes and procedures
