For the EMEA COO IT Team in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich we are looking for a Project Manager (m/f) – Job ID R-594894.

As a project manager within the EMEA COO IT Team, you will manage projects designed to achieve the departmental goals focusing on Client Delivery, Regulatory and Audit requirements. You will communicate with project sponsors, stakeholders and other divisions within State Street to ensure projects are on track, and update senior managers on project status.  You will leverage your Financial Services experience, knowledge and project skills to help guide technology teams to deliver consistent, high quality results for the program.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of concurrent projects of various sizes and maturity
  • Manage against project budgets and balance staffing requirements across a number of concurrent projects
  • Ensure timely management of regulatory deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed end-to-end project plans for medium and large size projects
  • Monitor the day-to-day planning and operational aspects of projects to ensure deliverable timelines are met
  • Manage & control project scope, project resource allocation and end-to-end project budget
  • Mitigate project risks and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track and report on project milestones
  • Provide status and related reporting to EMEA COO IT as well as senior business staff
  • Contribute to best practices on project management
  • Demonstrate Financial Services, Client Engagement, and Regulatory domain knowledge, outstanding relationship management, communication, listening and collaboration skills and work effectively with the various stakeholders and project team members

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Successfully completed Bachelor’s degree or similar educational background
  • PMP, Agile or Six Sigma certification beneficial
  • About 6 – 8 years of Financial Services experience in managing IT projects operating in a matrix environment
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects from initiation to closure with internal and external cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of German and European regulations
  • Experience with committees / regulatory submissions and an understanding of the importance of timely and accurate delivery
  • Strong/Expert level in MS Project and PowerPoint,  strong proficiency with other MS Office tools and  experience with the creation of executive-level communications/presentations
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time and balance priorities across simultaneous assignments
  • Very strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences
  • Result-oriented business and organizational development skills with the capacity to identify and act on opportunity
