For the Compliance  department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich we are looking for a Privacy Compliance Officer (m/f) – Job ID R-593140.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a centralized Privacy Office processes and procedures covering all regulatory requirements governing Privacy and Data Protection of personal data
  • Identify emerging trends in the regulatory environment and contribute to the open and collaborative communication of the same to ensure regulatory information is shared across key functions in a timely manner
  • Aid in the identification of, and resolution planning for, various risk and compliance issues, breaches and potentially suspicious activities; open compliance issues when appropriate
  • Track and monitor compliance issue resolution plans and work in conjunction with Compliance, business and/or functional unit partners to help ensure accuracy of accountabilities and adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Participate in the establishment and implementation of compliance training and education programs to keep business and/or functional unit personnel appraised of compliance policies and regulatory obligations
  • Assist with the drafting and maintenance of the privacy procedures, including the coordination of affected business and/or functional unit procedures to account for Enhanced Compliance Program requirements
  • Support the Chief Privacy Officer and Senior Compliance Officer for Infrastructure Compliance by providing technical support, conducting independent research and analysis, and assisting with the creation and development of Privacy Program reporting materials for presentation to appropriate management and board committees
  • Cultivate effective relationships with internal business partners to maintain engagement
  • Continually assess compliance with privacy regulatory obligations by continually monitoring and enhancing the privacy risk assessment process
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining privacy and data protection regulatory obligations and maintaining updated inventories available to compliance managers
  • Prepare and distribute a quarterly management information report
  • Prepare responses for Article 30 requests from EU regulators, clients and auditors on data processing activities

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Privacy and/or IT and/or Audit/Compliance professional with strong operational focus with several years of related experience
  • Relevant privacy, IT, audit and/or financial services certifications from a recognized professional body beneficial
  • Understanding of compliance control procedures, preferably IT controls in addition to operational controls
  • Ideally Familiarity with the three lines of defense model, regulated environments and Information Technology Control Frameworks
  • Strong IT proficiency, in particular with Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Fluentcy in English, German knowledge beneficial and other continental European language skills a plus
  • Flexible approach and a strong team player
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Must have a customer orientation with the ability to interact comfortably with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collaborate and influence colleagues
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to adapt to shifting priorities, meet deadlines and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to juggle conflicting demands and prioritize effectively
