For our KVG Backoffice Insourcing IT Operations department in Frankfurt (Herriotstrasse) we are looking for a Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange Administrator (m/f) – Job ID 164370

Lead in implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and designing our Windows server, email and infrastructure services. This role ensures the integrity of high availability and secure infrastructure to provide maximum resiliency and performance to the users. It also includes early and late shifts as well as on-call duties.

Job Description

Major responsibilities

  • Plan, configure and manage Windows systems, mainly Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory environment
  • Support and sustain all components relating to the delivery of email services, including email hosting in Office 365, Mobile Iron Mobility interfaces, BES and email security systems 
  • Operation and administration of the CITRIX server, desktop and application virtualization environment; job control and scheduling; File Transfer Gateway and Websphere Transformation Extender Interface Infrastructure; standard IT services, such as file and print services, backup/recovery
  • Administration of Windows-based server applications, especially SimCorp Dimension
  • Manage third party service providers
  • IT security management
  • Schedule and execute maintenance work, updates, high availability and failover testing
  • Troubleshooting Windows server systems and handling related tickets; monitoring of the system environment and responding to alerts
  • Manage and participate in projects, e.g. release changes
  • Maintain system availability and fulfill KPI-measured SLAs/OLAs
  • Manage 3rd party service provider and participate in projects

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or comparable education; Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred
  • Several years of experience in leading a Windows Active Directory / Exchange role within a complex technology organization with virtual teams
  • Experience in a service delivery management function preferred
  • In-depth administration experience with Microsoft Exchange as well as in operating and troubleshooting server, desktop and application virtualization based on CITRIX products
  • Knowledgeable of infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, LDAP
  • Expertise with writing new and debugging existing PowerShell scripts
  • Ideally experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Fluency in English, German knowledge beneficial
  • Ability to recognize and manage with metrics, establishing and reporting on KPIs
  • Strong technical, analytical, trend analysis and problem solving skills
  • Proactive team player with distinct service orientation
  • Ability to work in a high pressured and time sensitive environment
  • Able and willing to perform on-call duties and to travel up to 25%
