Job Description

Major responsibilities

  • Managing, supporting and supervising projects in the areas of corporate governance, risk management enhancements and regulatory requirements
  • Working with internal Corporate Functions and Business Leads to review target state governance model, identified gaps (e.g. people, process, technology) and create mitigants
  • Collecting and evaluating footprint information to support strategic planning
  • Ensuring deliverables of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, implementation, controlling, risk and cost management, scope and change management
  • Working with Corporate Functions, Business Leads & PMOs across all business lines to coordinate and facilitate structuring of project working groups, project plans, and identification of objectives and key milestones
  • Pro-actively identifying cross departmental and initiative dependencies and support mitigation
  • Managing virtual team members and resolving conflicts
  • Ensuring overall local and global project communication, identifying and managing risks and issues; supporting and conducting analyses of costs/benefits, risks and workflows

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Successfully completed bank apprenticeship and/or university diploma or master degree  in finance, business, economics or similar
  • Several years of related professional experience in the Financial Services or consulting business
  • Excellent project management know-how and experience, ideally certified by industry standard institutions (e.g. PMI)
  • Strong knowledge of the current EU regulatory environment impacting the banking system (e.g. CRR / CRD 4, UCITS V, MAD/MAR, MiFID) as well as knowledge regarding Corporate Governance
  • Ability to manage and participate in projects of various size and scope and to identify and address gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • High performing individual with lots of energy, self-motivation and strong leadership skills
  • Open and flexible to support varying business areas and subjects, embracing change
  • Team-oriented, works autonomously and well under pressure, able to prioritise
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
