For the Finance department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich we are looking for an Assistant Vice President Finance, Risk Infrastructure and Business Solutions (FRIBS) (m/f) – Job ID R-592805.

Major Responsibilities

  • Become a key member of a team of hybrid project managers / business analysts; engage with the business customers and find creative and solid functional and data driven solutions to business problems, actively coordinate project activities necessary for the timely execution of requirements with IT and business PMO functions
  • Deliver integrated business technology and data management solutions that optimize State Street’s Regulatory Reporting capabilities; facilitate the timely, accurate and complete provision of Regulatory Reporting data and reporting in EMEA, leveraging global data sources
  • Engage with business customers to define business user and functional requirements
  • Execute data lineage and document data quality rules for critical regulatory reports
  • Drive the ongoing development of key systems as a Release Manager; working in close partnership with IT teams to deliver agreed scope of requirements in time and quality
  • Prepare test scenarios and execute comprehensive end to end user testing in cooperation with Testing teams and Business functions
  • Negotiate and resolve conflicts among and between program stakeholders and project teams, escalating issues to the team lead where necessary
  • Contribute to the business architecture design and data strategy using expertise in Regulatory Reporting functional needs, technology and data management leading practices

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Business, Information Management, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields
  • Several years of Financial Services Industry experience
  • Strong  understanding of Financial Regulatory Reporting in the German banking sector and across EMEA more widely
  • Technical/engineering (computer science) background preferable; competency in MS Office, VBA / SQL / Visio beneficial; experience with Regulatory Reporting applications like Abacus or Axiom will be a plus
  • Data & business analysis skills; familiarity with data feeds, mapping documents, data specification documents; ability to trace data elements through their lineage and transformation as data elements move through systems
  • Track record of project delivery as part of a high performing team of project managers / business analysts
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with IT teams as well as working on large, complex projects with both Agile and Waterfall frameworks
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Great attention to detail and ability to communicate and present complex facts and concepts
  • Ability to work as part of a global virtual team, where members of the team are physically located in multiple locations across the world
  • Proactive, independent and strategic way of working with hands-on mentality
